Notice of Motion for councils to devolve the Crown Estate / Rhybudd o Gynnig i gynghorau ddatganoli Ystâd y Goron.

Please do this in as many local authorities as you can! It’s easy!

How to guide:

  • identify and get in touch with a county councillor who might be sympathetic to the cause.
  • they don’t have to be the councillor from your ward, anyone in the council is fine , or indeed in another  local authority.
  • explain this is a national campaign [you can share some information from our website like the Micheal Sheen video] ;
  • ‘big up’ that other local authorities are considering the same Notice of Motion at the moment, so this is also spreading nationally!
  • The councillor will know how to take it forward, so your job is done!

Gwnewch hyn mewn cymaint o awdurdodau lleol ag y gallwch! Mae’n hawdd!

Sut i wneud:

  • Adnabod a chysylltu â chynghorydd sir a allai fod yn cydymdeimlo â’r achos.
  • Nid oes rhaid iddynt fod yn gynghorydd o’ch ward, mae unrhyw un yn y cyngor yn iawn, neu yn wir mewn awdurdod lleol arall.
  • Eglurwch mai ymgyrch genedlaethol yw hon [gallwch rannu rhywfaint o wybodaeth o’n gwefan fel fideo Micheal Sheen] ;
  • ‘Gwnewch yn fawr’ bod awdurdodau lleol eraill yn ystyried yr un Rhybudd o Gynnig ar hyn o bryd, felly mae hyn hefyd yn lledaenu’n genedlaethol!
  • Bydd y cynghorydd yn gwybod sut i’w symud ymlaen, felly dyna chi!

Template NoM: Templed:

We ask that [eg.Cyngor Gwynedd ]support the campaign to devolve the Crown Estate in Wales. We believe the money from the Crown Estate should be directed into a Sovereign Wealth Fund and used for public benefit to support the needs of Welsh Communities. We call upon the Welsh Government to involve all stakeholders in the discussion around this issue and build a coalition of voices to persuade Westminster to devolve the Crown Estate as a matter urgency.

Rydym yn gofyn i [e.e.. Cyngor Gwynedd ]cefnogi’r ymgyrch i ddatganoli Ystâd y Goron yng Nghymru. Credwn y dylai’r arian o Ystâd y Goron gael ei gyfeirio at Gronfa Gyfoeth Sofran a’i ddefnyddio er budd y cyhoedd i gefnogi anghenion Cymunedau Cymru. Rydym yn galw ar Lywodraeth Cymru i gynnwys yr holl rhanddeiliaid yn y drafodaeth ynghylch y mater hwn ac adeiladu clymblaid o leisiau i berswadio San Steffan i ddatganoli Ystâd y Goron fel mater o frys.

Supporting information to be included with NoM: Gwybodaeth cefnogol i’w chynnwys;

There is a strong mandate to devolve the Crown Estate in Wales. A YouGov poll in Spring 2023 showed a majority of Welsh voters in favour of devolving the Crown Estate, only 19% opposed this. Investing the profits from our natural resources into a Sovereign Wealth Fund for public benefit is widely perceived as an important step towards addressing the needs of the people of Wales.

In a community consultation and Emergency housing Conference in Machynlleth, organised by the grassroots organisation Siarter Cartrefi and supported by the Welsh Government,February 2023, devolving the Crown Estate was consistently raised as an important issue, and was one of ten recommendations forwarded to Welsh Government. It was also one of the recommendations in  the National Infrastructure Commission for Wales report recently published.

Devolving the Crown Estate is seen as a way of addressing poverty in Welsh communities and as a way of building agency and resilience. Local Authorities are under  huge financial pressure, historically under funded, devolving the Crown Estate is one significant step in addressing unfairness and lack of investment in Welsh communities. The Welsh  Government supports the Devolution of the Crown Estate to Cymru.

Mae mandad cryf i ddatganoli Ystâd y Goron yng Nghymru. Dangosodd arolwg barn YouGov yng Ngwanwyn 2023 fwyafrif pleidleiswyr Cymru o blaid datganoli Ystâd y Goron, dim ond 19% oedd yn gwrthwynebu hyn. Mae buddsoddi’r elw o’n hadnoddau naturiol mewn Cronfa Gyfoeth Sofran er budd y cyhoedd yn cael ei ystyried yn gyffredinol yn gam pwysig tuag at fynd i’r afael ag anghenion pobl Cymru.

Mewn ymgynghoriad cymunedol a Chynhadledd Tai Brys ym Machynlleth, a drefnwyd gan y sefydliad llawr gwlad Siarter Cartrefi ac a gefnogir gan Lywodraeth Cymru, Chwefror 2023, codwyd datganoli Ystâd y Goron yn gyson fel mater pwysig, ac roedd yn un o ddeg argymhelliad a anfonwyd ymlaen at Lywodraeth Cymru. Roedd hefyd yn un o’r argymhellion yn adroddiad Comisiwn Seilwaith Cenedlaethol Cymru a gyhoeddwyd yn ddiweddar.

Mae datganoli Ystâd y Goron yn cael ei ystyried yn ffordd o fynd i’r afael â thlodi yng nghymunedau Cymru ac fel ffordd o adeiladu asiantaeth a gwytnwch. Mae awdurdodau lleol o dan bwysau ariannol enfawr, yn hanesyddol heb eu hariannu, mae datganoli Ystâd y Goron yn un cam arwyddocaol o ran mynd i’r afael ag annhegwch a diffyg buddsoddiad mewn cymunedau yng Nghymru. Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn cefnogi datganoli Ystâd y Goron i Gymru.

Title

The Future of the Crown Estate in Wales and its significance to Pembrokeshire.

A panel discussion with audience question and answer session

10.00 Saturday 23 March at St Davids City Hall

£5. Book on Eventbrite and tickets on door. Refreshments available

Panel Participants

John Osmond Chair, former Director of the Institute of Welsh Affairs, with:

Nick Tune Commissioner for National Infrastructure Commission for Wales

Rebecca Williams Director for Crown Estate, Wales

Tom Sawyer Chief Executive Officer of Port of Milford Haven

Beth Winter MP Labour MP for Cynon Valley

A campaign to Devolve the Crown Estate has been launched, with the support of Michael Sheen.

The Crown Estate is a collection of land and assets owned by the Crown, but managed by an independent trust. Its profits are funnelled into the UK Treasury.

The Crown owns significant parts of the Pembrokeshire Coast, including Newgale Beach, Marloes Sands and both Tenby beaches. Additionally, the estate owns substantial areas of the Milford Haven estuary and miles of the Cleddau River. It also owns the sea bed , grants licenses for farming the sea for food and energy and plays a crucial role in environmental initiatives. So,

  • What is the Crown’s strategic aim?
  • What would happen if its profits stayed in Wales? How and where would they  be spent?
  • What are the implications for Pembrokeshire of the planning permission granted by the Welsh Government in March 2023 to the Erebus Project for Wales’ first floating windfarm located 40km off the coast of Pembrokeshire?

Having granted consent, First Minister Mark Drakeford said: –

“The Erebus project has the potential to show the world that Wales and the Celtic Sea can deliver renewable energy alongside the sustainable management of our marine resources.

Come and hear from the panel experts and ask your questions of them. Be informed!

Dear subscribers and conference goers,

The Siarter team are working our way through the Ten Recommendations which you all co-produced with us at the Machynlleth Housing Emergency conference last February.

Devolve the Crown Rights to Wales was one of those 10 and seems to be lighting a flame across the country – we hope you are able to join us again next week to see how we can all achieve this aim together.

Annwyl danysgrifwyr a mynychwyr cynadleddau,

Mae tîm y Siarter yn gweithio ein ffordd drwy’r Deg Argymhelliad y gwnaethoch chi gyd-gynhyrchu â ni yng nghynhadledd Machynlleth fis Chwefror diwethaf

Roedd Datganoli Hawliau’r Goron i Gymru yn un o’r 10 hynny ac mae’n ymddangos fel pe bai’n cynnau fflam ledled y wlad – rydym yn gobeithio y byddwch yn gallu ymuno â ni eto’r wythnos nesaf i weld sut y gallwn oll gyflawni’r nod hwn gyda’n gilydd.

Please join Liz Saville Roberts MP, Beth Winter MP and grassroots campaigning group Siarter Cartrefi in launching the Devolve The Crown Estate in Wales Campaign at the end of January.

A whole range of campaign organisations are working to promote this issue in advance of Westminster elections, reflecting the wider interest on this matter in Wales.

Devolving the Estate was one of the co-produced ‘Ten Recommendations’ from Siarter’s community consultation and Emergency Housing Conference in February this year.

Devolving the Crown Estate has become a burning issue for many across Wales.

Michael Sheen is supporting this important campaign and has recorded a powerful message for us to launch it.

We need to make it clear to Westminster that there is a mandate in Wales for devolving the Crown Estate and we need to build momentum around this issue in the coming months.

Please join us online to see Michael’s message and hear from Beth Winter MP and Liz Saville Roberts MP regarding the Bill to Devolve the Crown Estate’s progress in parliament. Discuss actions in an open meeting.

Roedd datganoli’r Ystâd yn un o’r Deg Argymhelliad a gyd-gynhyrchwyd o ymgynghoriad cymunedol Siarter a Chynhadledd Tai Brys ym mis Chwefror eleni.

Mae datganoli Ystad y Goron wedi dod yn fater llosg i lawer ledled Cymru.

Mae Michael Sheen yn cefnogi’r ymgyrch bwysig hon ac wedi recordio neges bwerus i ni ei lansio.

Mae angen inni ei gwneud yn glir i San Steffan fod mandad yng Nghymru ar gyfer datganoli Ystad y Goron ac mae angen inni adeiladu momentwm o amgylch y mater hwn yn y misoedd nesaf.

Report published – Emergency Housing Conference and consultation. Adroddiad wedi’i gyhoeddi – Cynhadledd Argyfwng Tai ac ymgynghoriad.

After many months of work The Emergency Housing Conference and Consultation Report, ‘Housing is Not Just About Housing’ and 10 recommendations for action has been published. Siarter Cartrefi will be presenting the report and recommendations to Members of the Senedd this Wednesday the 28th of June in Cardiff Bay.

Ar ôl misoedd lawer o waith mae’r adroddiad ar y Gynhadledd Argyfwng Tai ac Ymgynghori, ‘Nid Tai yn Unig yw Tai’ a 10 argymhelliad ar gyfer gweithredu wedi’i gyhoeddi. Bydd Siarter Cartrefi yn cyflwyno’r adroddiad a’r argymhellion i Aelodau’r Senedd ddydd Mercher 28 Mehefin ym Mae Caerdydd.

The last 6 months of consultation has been a really positive process which has added so much to our understanding about how we think we can effectively engage the wider community with government to resolve this awful housing crisis.

What was encouraging to us as seasoned campaigners was the positive vision people shared despite how overwhelming it feels at the moment.  It was also a revelation to see how contributors saw a bigger picture, that housing is about building communities, resilience and agency in all aspects of Welsh society.

In the coming weeks we will be meeting with as many campaign organisations, 3rd sector, SMs  and others to discuss our findings and to build support for this work and our plan to create momentum for wider public engagement in Wales.

This housing crisis is having a fundamental impact on the whole of Wales, Siarter Cartrefi believe we will need the whole of Welsh society to address it.

Thank you so much to all who took part in supporting this process, we hope you will be as inspired as we are by the findings in this community consultation.

To READ or DOWNLOAD the report please go to the bottom of the page.

Mae’r ymgynghoriad dros y 6 mis diwethaf wedi bod yn broses wirioneddol gadarnhaol sydd wedi ychwanegu cymaint at ein dealltwriaeth o sut rydym yn meddwl y gallwn ymgysylltu’n effeithiol â’r gymuned ehangach â’r llywodraeth i ddatrys yr argyfwng tai ofnadwy hwn.

Yr hyn oedd yn galonogol i ni fel ymgyrchwyr profiadol oedd y weledigaeth gadarnhaol a rannwyd gan bobl er gwaethaf pa mor llethol y mae’n teimlo ar hyn o bryd.

Roedd hefyd yn agoriad llygaid i weld sut roedd cyfranwyr yn gweld darlun ehangach, sef bod tai yn ymwneud ag adeiladu cymunedau, gwytnwch ac asiantaeth ym mhob agwedd ar gymdeithas Cymru.

Yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf byddwn yn cyfarfod â chymaint o sefydliadau ymgyrchu, y 3ydd sector, ASau ac eraill i drafod ein canfyddiadau ac i adeiladu cefnogaeth i’r gwaith hwn a’n cynllun i greu momentwm ar gyfer ymgysylltu ehangach â’r cyhoedd yng Nghymru.

Mae’r argyfwng tai hwn yn cael effaith sylfaenol ar Gymru gyfan, mae Siarter Cartrefi yn Credu y bydd angen i’r gymdeithas gyfan fynd i’r afael ag ef.

Diolch i bawb cymerodd rhan i gefnogi’r broses hon, gobeithiwn y cewch eich ysbrydoli cymaint â ni gan ganfyddiadau’r ymgynghoriad cymunedol hwn.

Gallwch ddarllen neu lawrlwytho’r adroddiad isod.

Wales Housing Emergency Conference – Cynhadledd Argyfwng Tai Cymru

Co-producing ideas, solutions and action – Cyd-gynhyrchu syniadau, atebion a gweithredu

The conference was an intense and positive day. Thank you to everyone that attended for making it such a powerful and successful event.

We  are grateful for the rich conversation and networking and for sharing of ideas and knowledge. We have received many messages from attendees who have expressed how glad they were to have attended and  to have had an opportunity to explore solutions to the problems we are facing.

More than that, people expressed how moved they were by the whole event. We think this vindicates our call for more community involvement in addressing these big issues.

Roedd y gynhadledd yn ddiwrnod dwys a chadarnhaol. Diolch i bawb i am ei wneud yn ddigwyddiad mor bwerus a llwyddiannus.

Rydym yn ddiolchgar am y sgwrs gyfoethog a’r rhwydweithio ac am rannu eich syniadau a’ch gwybodaeth. Rydym wedi derbyn llawer o negeseuon gan fynychwyr sydd wedi mynegi pa mor falch oeddent o fod wedi mynychu ac wedi cael cyfle i archwilio atebion i’r problemau yr ydym yn eu hwynebu.

Yn fwy na hynny, mynegodd pobl pa mor gyffrous oeddent gan y digwyddiad cyfan. Credwn fod hyn yn cyfiawnhau ein galwad am fwy o gyfranogiad cymunedol wrth fynd i’r afael â’r materion mawr hyn.

The Siarter team will take the next few weeks to collate and organise all of the material, if you would like to help – please get in touch.

The report will go to Julie James, Minister for Housing and Climate Change along with the Future Generations and Welsh language Commissioner’s offices, who would like to use our [your] evidence in their decision making.

We plan to create further events for engagement towards meaningful action. We will also be exploring the idea of more deliberation through Citizens Assemblies.

In order to ensure the work continues, we are looking at ways to strengthen Siarter’s resilience and capacity. Watch this space!

With thanks again to the Coproduction Wales team, Cymdeithas yr Iaith and of course the Welsh Government for funding and supporting this event.

Bydd tîm y Siarter yn cymryd yr ychydig wythnosau nesaf i gyfosod a threfnu’r holl ddeunydd- plis cysylltwch os hoffech helpu.

Bydd yr adroddiad yn mynd at Julie James, y Gweinidog Tai a Newid Hinsawdd ynghyd â swyddfeydd Comisiynydd Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol a’r Gymraeg, a hoffent ddefnyddio ein [eich] tystiolaeth wrth wneud penderfyniadau.

Rydym yn bwriadu creu digwyddiadau pellach ar gyfer trafodaethau tuag at weithredu ystyrlon. Byddwn hefyd yn archwilio’r syniad o fwy o drafod drwy’r Cynulliadau Dinasyddion.

Er mwyn sicrhau bod y gwaith yn parhau, rydym yn edrych ar ffyrdd o gryfhau gwydnwch a chapasiti Siarter. Gwyliwch y gofod hwn!

Gyda diolch unwaith eto i dîm Cydgynhyrchu Cymru, Cymdeithas yr Iaith ac wrth gwrs Llywodraeth Cymru am ariannu a chefnogi’r digwyddiad hwn.

Who? Pwy?

With support from Julie James MS, Minister for Housing and Climate Change, we are inviting housing campaigners and activists, County Councillors, housing professionals, Welsh government policy makers, and anyone concerned with addressing the housing needs of the people of Wales.

We believe that by bringing together communities and housing professionals we can co-produce innovative, practical and sustainable responses to the ongoing crisis.

Gyda chymorth Julie James AS, y Gweinidog Tai a Newid Hinsawdd, rydym yn gwahodd ymgyrchwyr ac ymgyrchwyr tai, Cynghorwyr Sir, gweithwyr tai proffesiynol, llunwyr polisi llywodraeth Cymru, ac unrhyw un sy’n ymwneud â mynd i’r afael ag anghenion tai pobl Cymru.

Credwn, drwy ddod â chymunedau a gweithwyr tai proffesiynol ynghyd, y gallwn gynhyrchu ymatebion arloesol ar y cyd, fydd yn ymarferol a chynaliadwy mewn ymateb i’r argyfwng parhaus.

Purpose – Pwrpas

To come together around the housing crisis, co-develop big ideas and solutions, and start turning them into action.

  • To create a ‘Shared Vision for Housing in Wales’.
  • To develop solutions and policy recommendations to achieve that vision.

Er mwyn dod ynghyd ym maes yr argyfwng tai, cyd-ddatblygu syniadau ac atebion mawr, a dechrau eu rhoi ar waith.

  • Creu ‘Gweledigaeth ar y Cyd ar gyfer Cartrefi yng Nghymru’.
  • Datblygu atebion ac argymhellion polisi i gyflawni’r weledigaeth honno.

Outcomes – Canlyniadau

  • Ideas co-developed at the conference will be presented to the Senedd and in a publicly available report.
  • These ideas can form the basis of Citizens Assemblies for deliberation and recommendations.
  • Bydd y syniadau a ddatblygir ar y cyd yn y gynhadledd yn cael eu cyflwyno i’r Senedd ac mewn adroddiad fydd ar gael i’r cyhoedd.
  • Gall y syniadau hyn fod yn sail i Gynulliadau Dinasyddion ar gyfer trafodaethau ac argymhellion.

HOMES FOR THE PEOPLE OF WALES – A BIG STEP FORWARD / CARTREFI I BOBL CYMRU – CAM MAWR YMLAEN

Julie James, Minister for Climate Change, meets nine housing campaign organisations. Mae Julie James, y Gweinidog dros Newid yn yr Hinsawdd, wedi cyfarfod â naw o sefydliadau ymgyrchu tai.

Julie James AS

Campaign and community organisations working to address the housing and homes crisis in Wales came together on 26th September to meet with the Minister for Climate Change, Julie James MS.

The meeting was the culmination of months of organizing by Siarter Cartrefi with nine campaign groups – Cymdeithas yr Iaith, Dyfodol i’r Iaith, Gorau i Gymru, Acorn, Undod, Melin Drafod, Hawl i Fyw Adra and Sail.

Representatives from the Welsh Language Commission, Well Being of Future Generations Office and the Electoral Reform Society Cymru were also present.

The Campaigners met with Julie James to ask for Welsh Government backing for an Emergency Housing Conference which would debate policy ideas to put to Citizens Assemblies. The Minister acknowledged the importance of enabling the voices from the wider community and agreed to support the Conference. A working group formed from both the Minister’s  department and representatives of the campaign organisations will now work towards an early spring conference.

‘This is a significant step’ said Rob Idris, spokesperson from the campaigners. ‘We are feeling very positive after Julie James’ supportive response. We need to see a breakthrough on these big issues, we can only succeed if we are all working together to find the solutions we need’.

A Conference will bring together under one roof the various campaigning organisations and others interested in solutions to the Housing Crisis and an opportunity to generate momentum towards new and radical policy ideas.

‘By bringing out the experiences and ideas of the wider community  we can build on the Welsh Government’s ability to solve the current problems’, said Cara Wilson of Siarter Cartrefi.

Climate Change Minister Julie James said: “I am pleased to be able to support the Siarter Cartrefi conference which provides a valuable opportunity for community engagement where we can hear a wide range of voices that will help as we continue to work on our approach to affordable living across Wales.

“We are committed to building 20,000 low-carbon homes for social rent and have made a series of key changes to planning and taxation legislation. We also recently launched our Welsh Language Communities Housing Plan as part of our commitment to ensuring the vitality of Welsh as a community language.

“The Welsh Government doesn’t have all the answers and I’ve always been clear that communities have a vital role in identifying and taking opportunities – I am sure this conference will play a major part in this work.”

Sophie Howe, Wellbeing of Future Generations Commissioner for Wales added her voice of support for this initiative.

”There is wide agreement on the impact that the housing crisis is having on the wellbeing of current and future generations, in particular on their right to live and thrive in healthy resilient communities. I believe that the solutions will be best found in co-creation with those most affected.

In my 2020 Future Generations report, I recommended that the Government should involve communities in creating a vision for housing. The fact that the Housing and Climate Change Minister Julie James is committed to working in co-production with communities, and that Siarter Catrefi and key partner organisations in the movement will be collaborating with the Government to help them deepen their involvement practice, bodes well for future wellbeing in Wales”.

Daeth mudiadau ymgyrchu a chymunedol sy’n gweithio i fynd i’r afael â’r argyfwng tai a chartrefi yng Nghymru ynghyd ar 26 Medi i gwrdd â’r Gweinidog dros Newid Hinsawdd, Julie James AS.

Roedd y cyfarfod yn benllanw misoedd o drefnu gan Siarter Cartrefi gyda naw grŵp ymgyrchu – Cymdeithas yr Iaith, Dyfodol i’r Iaith, Gorau i Gymru, Acorn, Undod, Melin Drafod, Hawl i Fyw Adra a Sail.

Roedd cynrychiolwyr o Gomisiwn y Gymraeg, Swyddfa Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol a Chymdeithas Diwygio Etholiadol Cymru hefyd yn bresennol.

Cyfarfu’r Ymgyrchwyr â Julie James i ofyn am gefnogaeth Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyfer Cynhadledd Tai Brys a fyddai’n trafod syniadau polisi i’w rhoi gerbron Cynulliad Dinasyddion. Cydnabu’r Gweinidog bwysigrwydd galluogi lleisiau’r gymuned ehangach a chytunodd i gefnogi’r Gynhadledd. Bydd gweithgor a ffurfiwyd o adran y Gweinidog a chynrychiolwyr y sefydliadau ymgyrchu nawr yn gweithio tuag at gynhadledd yn gynnar yn y gwanwyn.

‘Mae hwn yn gam arwyddocaol’ meddai Robat Idris, llefarydd ar ran yr ymgyrchwyr. ‘Rydym yn teimlo’n bositif iawn ar ôl ymateb cefnogol Julie James. Mae angen inni weld datblygiad arloesol ar y materion mawr hyn, dim ond os ydym i gyd yn gweithio gyda’n gilydd i ddod o hyd i’r atebion sydd eu hangen arnom y gallwn lwyddo’.

Bydd Cynhadledd yn dod â’r gwahanol sefydliadau ymgyrchu ac eraill sydd â diddordeb mewn atebion i’r Argyfwng Tai ynghyd o dan un to a chyfle i greu momentwm tuag at syniadau polisi newydd a radical.

‘Trwy ddod â phrofiadau a syniadau’r gymuned ehangach at y bwrdd gallwn adeiladu ar allu Llywodraeth Cymru i ddatrys y problemau presennol’, meddai Cara Wilson o Siarter Cartrefi.

Dywedodd y Gweinidog Newid Hinsawdd, Julie James: “Rwy’n falch o allu cefnogi cynhadledd Siarter Cartrefi sy’n rhoi cyfle gwerthfawr ar gyfer ymgysylltu â’r gymuned lle gallwn glywed ystod eang o leisiau a fydd yn helpu wrth i ni barhau i weithio ar ein hymagwedd at lefydd fforddiadwy i fyw ledled Cymru.

“Rydym wedi ymrwymo i adeiladu 20,000 o gartrefi carbon isel ar gyfer rhent cymdeithasol ac wedi gwneud cyfres o newidiadau allweddol i ddeddfwriaeth cynllunio a threthiant. Yn ddiweddar hefyd lansiwyd ein Cynllun Tai Cymunedau Cymraeg fel rhan o’n hymrwymiad i sicrhau bywiogrwydd y Gymraeg fel iaith gymunedol.

“Nid oes gan Lywodraeth Cymru’r atebion i gyd ac rwyf bob amser wedi bod yn glir bod gan gymunedau rôl hanfodol i’w chwarae wrth adnabod a manteisio ar gyfleoedd – rwy’n siŵr y bydd y gynhadledd hon yn chwarae rhan fawr yn y gwaith hwn.”

Ychwanegodd Sophie Howe, Comisiynydd Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol Cymru ei llais o gefnogaeth i’r fenter hon.

“Mae yna gytundeb eang ar yr effaith y mae’r argyfwng tai yn ei chael ar les cenedlaethau’r presennol a’r dyfodol, yn enwedig ar eu hawl i fyw a ffynnu mewn cymunedau iach, cydnerth. Credaf mai’r ffordd orau o ddod o hyd i’r atebion yw cyd-greu â’r rhai yr effeithir arnynt fwyaf.

Yn fy adroddiad Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol 2020, argymhellais y dylai’r Llywodraeth gynnwys cymunedau wrth greu gweledigaeth ar gyfer tai. Mae’r ffaith bod y Gweinidog Tai a Newid Hinsawdd Julie James wedi ymrwymo i weithio mewn cyd-gynhyrchu gyda chymunedau, ac y bydd Siarter Cartrefi a sefydliadau partner allweddol yn y mudiad yn cydweithio â’r Llywodraeth i’w helpu i ddyfnhau eu harferion cynhwysol, yn argoeli’n dda ar gyfer lles yng Nghymru yn y dyfodol”.
